How We're Keeping You Safe As We Re-Open

There’s no amount of words that can emphasize how much we care for your safety. But our actions hope to demonstrate just how crucial it is you feel you can work out with us again without having to worry about your health when you enter HOUSEFIT again.

That’s why we’re detailing our post-COVID re-opening efforts for you. Transparency, honesty and dedication to ensuring you can enjoy the sweat, blood and tears of your workout first must come with the understanding of how things will be different when you come back to us.

Our commitment to our trainers, our staff and most importantly to you remains unchanged.

These safety measures mean that when we are provided go-ahead from our provincial government to welcome you again, we’ll be ready. These measures include.

Reduced Capacity & Social Distance Markers

Like many businesses practicing social distancing for your safety, we are too. In order to accommodate capacity and ensure that there is not only enough space to successfully conduct your workout, but that there is enough space to reduce harm, we are reducing the number of members in the club at a time.

Also, expect visual cues, floor markers and symbols to distinguish designated spaces we’ve created for you and your trainer to work. Health and safety signs will also be seen throughout the club when we are open again.

Nanotechnology

Most notable as a technology used in some hospital-grade paint to reduce the spread of germs on high-touch surfaces, nanotechnology ensures germs can’t adhere to a surface before they are transmitted to someone else. This is just one effective method to ensure risk is minimized that we are happy to incorporate at HOUSEFIT.

Dedicated Cleaning Times Before & After Each Session

You don’t have to worry about who has touched the surface before you, or how clean a surface may be from even the morning, as you work out mid-afternoon. Our staff is providing a cleaning time between client sessions. This might mean you’ll have to wait before you enter into HOUSEFIT, but this sanitation “reset” will ensure our facility is sanitized and ready for you when you come and greet your trainer.

Temperature Checks

If you’ve had an opportunity to visit a health centre, medical facility or doctor, you may have been temperature-checked before having your consultation or appointment. This thermometer is placed in close proximity to the person and is able to check if the person is running a fever, and therefore, might be sick. The thermometer does not make contact with your skin directly.

With a well-known symptom of COVID being a fever, checking clients, staff and trainers’ temperature before entering HOUSEFIT will be a new procedure that again demonstrates our commitment to safety.

Staff Training

From safety training to even how we escort clients like yourself to and out of the building, expect our staff to not only be able to ensure you workout with the same dedication as you normally do, to a workout catered to you; but also ensure they are well equipped with the knowledge and protocol to maintain your safety.

Hospital Grade Hand Sanitizer, Air Purifiers and ULV Foggers

A proven method of stopping the spread of germs is frequent handwashing. While we can’t always wash our hands immediately, we know hand sanitizer can be the next best thing.

That’s why we’ve prepped the gym with hospital-grade sanitizers throughout the gym floor. In order to qualify as a “hospital-grade”, the solution contains at least 70% ethanol (or isopropyl alcohol).

Also, our cleaning team will be using ultra-low volume (ULV) fogging machines. These machines utilize low-pressure air to turn disinfectant and sanitizer into droplets that can break apart potential viruses in the air.

As well, for the sports fans alike; HOUSEFIT’s addition of Clean Air Purifiers used exclusively for professional sports teams like the NBA, MLB, and NHL will ensure harmful airborne viruses remain at bay. These machines are used in locker rooms and major fitness centres across the globe and is just one more way we are committed to your safety as we open again.

Contactless Payment and Check-In

Being able to avoid touching surfaces that each client interacts with when they enter HOUSEFIT will be another effective way to stop the spread. Checking in for your workout without touching keypads or surfaces means you can greet your trainer without worry.

We’ll also ensure any service, memberships and amenities you purchase with us are done with contactless payment. So again, you can rest assured that any contact you make while you’re with us at HOUSEFIT is minimal and regulated.

We can’t wait to welcome you back to HOUSEFIT, when the time is right. With July being eyed as the official re-opening, authorized by our government, we’ll continue to update you on how we’ll change things, so you can get back to feeling great, and getting back to being connected to your body and mind through exercise and training.
